Research has often shown the critical difference that preschool education has in the early school years of any child. The St. Paul JCC's Preschool Program serves children 3 to 5 yrs. old. Over the years, our staff and parents have shared with us three common patterns they see in our preschoolers.

They excel in academics and are athletically active: Educationally, we focus on age appropriate letters and phonics, science, math and language skills development for kindergarten readiness. And we integrate ample activities including swimming, gym time and frequent access to one of our three outdoor playgrounds to start their love for physical fitness.
They easily express themselves and are socially successful: We're one of the few preschools that has a music specialist on staff, and we devote abundant time for hands-on art experimentation as well as dramatic play and creative expression. These artistic endeavors reinforce their self-esteem and provide an early foundation of social skills.
They care about and remain active in their communities: Our education is strongly based in Jewish values, which are universal in nature: a respect for nature, honoring the family, and supporting those in need are just a few that are learned by actively living and learning these values daily.

This is in part due to consistently maintaining a child to staff ratio that's well below state requirements. Our program focuses on socialization skills and the process of learning through play. Our loving and stimulating environment nurtures children as the valued members that they are in our community. We offer 2, 3 and 5 full day or half-day learning opportunities.

St. Paul JCC membership is required prior to enrollment in all child care programs.

This program is fully licensed by the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services.
