The Camp Butwin Counselor in Training (CIT) and Madrich Programs
are leadership programs for teens who have completed EIGHTH or NINTH grade.
CIT & Madrich Options and Fees
Session 1:$490
Session 2:$490
All Summer:$980
CIT's & Madrichim receive a fee rebate of $5 for each day worked.
Pre-Camp Training: CIT's & Madrichim
Orientation: Sunday, May 16th & Sunday, June 13th
Staff Training: June 16-18
Important Dates:
Session 1: June 30
Session 2: July 28
CIT Program: For Teens completing 8th grade.
Spend the summer working closely with a camp specialist.
Over the course of your training you will learn:
- How to lead an activity
- The basics of child development
- How to interact effectively with campers
- Basic safety information
Madrich Program: For teens completing 9th grade.
Spend the summer paired with a camper group. Work directly with campers
and have a chance to me mentored by both junior and senior counselors.
Over the course of your training you will learn:
- How to plan an activity
- Basic first aid
- Conflict resolution
- Positive techniques to deal with behavioral and disciplinary issues.

or pick one up at the St. Paul JCC front desk. Completed applications must be returned by Friday, February 26, to the Sam Eberhart, Teen Director. Interviews for CIT's & Madrichim will be scheduled during March. Space is limited--placement is not guaranteed.
CIT's & Madrichim must complete medical forms before participating.
