Fit-4-Teens
NEW FIT-4-TEENS PROGRAM
The St. Paul JCC offers a Fit-4-Teens program, which incorporates various aspects of fitness and gives the educational tools needed to develop healthy habits. It is 2, 1-hour sessions. This class is designed to give you all the necessary information to exercise safely and effectively.
Who is this class offered to?
The Fit-4-Teens class is available to any St. Paul JCC member 13-15 years old. After satisfactory completion of this program, the individual will be able to use the Fitness Center at his or her own discretion.
What will be learned in this class?
Fit-4-Teens
- You will complete this class with an understanding of the benefits of a balanced exercise program that utilizes warm-ups, cool-downs, strength training, cardiovascular training, and flexibility/stretching techniques.
- The basic overview of the bones and muscles of the body.
- You will be guided through proper technique, safety precautions, and benefits of body weight, machine, and free weight strength training exercises.
- You will understand how to be more effective in your training sessions by using your heart rate and the perceived exertion scale.
- Basic nutrition that will guide you to better overall health.
- You will have the opportunity to track you Fitness Center workouts and be rewarded for your commitment.
- Gain confidence in your use of the Fitness Center.
