Instructor Jamie Fischer
Jamie started logrolling at the age of 4 years old. Because he was so young, he doesn't actually remember how he learned to logroll.
He had a great time rolling through the amateur divisions with the help of his dad - aka "coach."
He turned professional the year he graduated high school and won the first of 8 world championships and set a world record in the boom run.
Jamie has a degree in elementary education and is close to finishing his Masters degree. Recently Jamie's focus has switched from competing as a professional to training and coaching kids. Jamie finds it much more rewarding to see the kids excel than to see him self excel.
Instructor Samantha Hadley
Samantha Hadley has been logrolling as a professional for the past 3 years. She finished 6th in the 2008 Lumberjack World Championships in Hayward WI. A Hayward native, Samantha recently moved to the Twin Cities to attend the University of Minnesota. She was thrilled to discover that she could share her love of logrolling through teaching at the St. Paul JCC and is having a great time with the kids.
