Wellness
One Body, One Life, One Spirit!
Dimensions of wellness include physical, social/cultural, emotional, occupational, intellectual and spiritual components.
Achieving and maintaining wellness is a balancing act which requires the attention necessary to avoid consequences of imbalance. The Health & Wellness Department is committed to providing ongoing tools and resources for achieving and maintaining a balanced life, one focused on Jewish values. Prevention is key for many who desire to maintain an active and vibrant life as they age.
The St Paul JCC offers an expanding variety of Wellness Specialty classes including Yoga for muscle strength and flexibility combined with breathing and centering, Pilates to strengthen the core and improve balance, NIA to celebrate the joy of movement through the fusion of focused disciplines, Feldenkrais to improve movement awareness with healing benefits and T'ai Chi Chih the ultimate mind-body-spirit connection.
For those adventurous spirits with untapped energy we offer additional classes in TaekwonDo martial arts and Krav Maga the official Israeli Self-Defense system.
