
the greening of the st. paul JCC
Being Green at the St. Paul JCC has always been an ongoing evolutionary process towards greater environmental responsibility. We continue to make strides on a daily basis. Here are some things that we have done so far.

- Reducing energy and water consumption through upgrading our HVAC system and re
placing fixtures
- Increasing the number of paperless administrative practices and systems
- Increasing our recycling capacity and staff education
- Re-purposed used printed paper into notepads and other goods
- Provided members with the ability to opt out of receiving any printed materials
- Provided staff with permanent dishware, utensils and water pitchers (an alternative to bottled water)
- Replaced non-dimming incandescent bulbs with compact fluorescents
- Partnered with Hazon's national Jewish CSA program Tuv Ha'Aretz to make organic, locally farmed, fruits and vegetables more easily accessible for our community
The St. Paul JCC uses green products rated with a high percentage of recycled content which are both green seal certified and sourced from companies using environmentally sound production methods. Our green products include:

- 100% recycled copy paper
- Recycled office paper products
- Recycled trash liners
- Enviromentally-friendly cleaning products
