Here’s your chance to meet the most interesting women in town in a forum that’s up-close and personal! Our guests –prominent women in the Twin Cities- share their life stories and take us inside the worlds in which they work. The conversation is lively; the connections are real.

Our Book Group reads a wide variety of texts: novels, memoirs, non-fiction, short stories and everything in-between! The conversations are enlightening and fun; the people are engaged and enthusiastic.

BAUBIS, ZAYDIS & BOOKS
Do you love reading stories and illuminating the imagination of a child? It’s time for Baubi’s/Zaydi’s Read. This award-winning JCC opportunity, allows Baubi and Zaydi (Grandma and Grandpa) volunteers, the chance to meet and share stories with our preschool classrooms. We will provide the books, stickers and Hershey’s Kisses; you provide the smiles, the reading and your time. The times available are Monday-Thursday between 10 – 11:45AM. We do ask that you would be able to make a commitment to come on a regular basis please.

 

COOKIE CART IN ST. PAUL
Have you ever wondered if a cookie could change your life? The answer is yes. Cookie Cart provides teens 15 to 18 years old with lasting and meaningful work, life and leadership skills through experience and training in urban nonprofit bakeries. Join us in making cookies alongside high school students. We provide the transportation and you provide your hands and hearts.

PIRKE AVOT: ANCIENT RABBINIC WISDOM FOR TODAY’S WORLD

Pirke Avot is a collection of pithy sayings by our ancient rabbis on how best to live an ethical life.  Come study this ancient work with much to say to our lives today..  Drop in format.  All are welcome. Come when you can.

MEDITATION
FRIDAYS • 11 – 11:45 AM
Mindfulness meditation is a practice that can support and sustain our Jewish lives and the fulfillment of our Jewish values. This practice helps to make our minds more spacious, perceptive, and free.

Each session will include a short teaching followed by a sitting period. No experience is necessary.
