Yes we do! Lost and found items are displayed at all family activities. All unclaimed lost and found items will be displayed at the JCC for one week after the camp season ends.
Instructors encourage the campers to participate in the program, but will at no time force a child to swim.
Many of Camp Butwin’s programs and activities are new experiences for our campers. Since parents are important members of our camp family, we urge you to stress to your child the need to try new things and to not be afraid to tell their counselor when they may need extra help or encouragement.
The best way to reach us is by phone, which is answered Monday - Friday, after 8:30 am. 651 + 423 1485
Our general email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Group lists and schedules are sent out one-week prior to the start of their session. Please review their schedule, so you can send them the appropriate gear required for certain activities
Talk about what camp will be like! Feel free to show photos from last year, located in your CampMinder account and talk about the different activities we have. It’s also helpful to have your camper practice changing for the pool and packing their backpacks themselves.
To wear daily: Hat, shorts or pants, T-shirt and closed-toe shoes. Additionally, please make sure they have a sweatshirt/hoodie or a rain jacket if the weather may require it.
To bring daily in a backpack: Lunch, water bottle, insect repellent, sun protection (SPF-30 or higher), swimsuit and towel.
On days when your child has horseback riding, long pants and closed toe shoes are required. Check your child’s schedule for the days they will be having these activities. Remember, close toes shoes are required daily.
All snacks and food provided by Camp Butwin are Kosher and peanut/tree nut free. We strongly encourage camp families to avoid the use of nuts or nut products in lunches or snacks brought from home.
All counselors are instructed to bring campers directly to the nurse’s office if there is ever a health question or concern. If the child needs to return home, parents will be notified.
Campers receive the best care and attention possible from the Camp Butwin nurse. The nurse is supervised by Dr. Hannah Lichstein, a local pediatrician.
Our meals on Late Nights, Overnights and Cookouts are ever changing. In the past, we have served walking tacos, hot dogs, breakfast for dinner, pasta and more!
All children must be picked up when the buses arrive at end of the day. Campers arriving at their bus stop will need to be checked out with their bus counselor by their parents or guardians. We ask that you follow this procedure for the safety of everyone. Please be prepared to show ID.
